Buffalo’s City Council voted to replace one proposed project for next year’s semiquincentennial celebration with another proposed project.
The original project, put forth by the Semiquincentennial Committee earlier this year, was to build a dog park on city lands in honor of the 250th Birthday of the United States.
Mayor Shane Schrader explained that funding for the dog park was rejected by the state, and the committee would like to move forward with another project.
The Resolution also approved a grant application to the state in the amount of $25,000 for the new proposed project.
The council voted to approve Resolution No. 1496.
