SCSD #3 Board of Trustees held their monthly meeting on October 7. The 7 p.m. meeting was preceded by an executive meeting to discuss personnel matters.
In the Public Comments section, community member Misty Moore, who is District Manager Wyoming State Parks Absaroka District, spoke to the board about the importance of relationships, especially with local legislators, and how the state works with them on their projects.
She also thanked the board for their work for the school.

Natalie Stoll and Tess Anderson of House Herculean, gave a presentation to the board.
They added about an upcoming event that will be on Oct. 16 at the Panther Claw and at the last home volleyball game against Buffalo.

In other business, the board discussed several policies, Endorsement/Driver’s License act. Discussion centered around the definition of a bus, and whether ‘bus driver’ was the appropriate term, perhaps is should be just driver, as some of the vehicles are not actual school buses. It was agreed to change the language.
They also discussed polices concerning violence in the workplace and child abuse. According to the policy, all Sheridan County School District #3 certified and classified employees are mandatory reporters of possible child abuse.
The next community lunch will be on November 5, at 11:30 a.m.
In November the board will hold two meeting, one on November 11, one on November 12, both will be at 7:00 p.m.
