Fire Station Roof Replacement Project

Details of a roof replacement project for the fire station in Sheridan were discussed at this week’s City Council study session. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

A hail storm that occurred on September 12, 2024, caused damage to the roof of the Sheridan-Fire Rescue building. According to information from the City of Sheridan, insurance adjusters provided quotes and replacement values to cover damage to the property and the project was advertised on September 13, 18, and 24. The bid opening was held on October 14 and a pre-bid walkthrough was held on September 23, and a second walkthrough was held on October 6. City Public Works Director Hanns Mercer.

Mercer said staff is recommending the City Council and Mayor Rich Bridger award the bid for the project to the lowest bidder, Dave Loden Construction of Buffalo in the amount of $140,885.
