Jo Co Commission Denies Radio Tower on County Land

Johnson County’s Commissioners discussed a request from Cedar Grove Broadcasting, Inc. to erect a radio transmitter on county-controlled land.

The decision had been tabled a number of times to give the county attorney’s office time to look into the matter, as explained by Commission Chairman Bill Novotny and County Attorney Tucker Ruby.

Chairman Novotny said the commission will work with the county attorney’s office to draft a letter to Cedar Grove Broadcasting informing them that they will be denying their request to put a transmitter on that property.
