During the 2025 General Session, the Wyoming Legislature  established the Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan program to assist small businesses by collaborating with local financial institutions to process loans that address business needs following a natural disaster.

Governor Mark Gordon (R-WY) is encouraging Wyoming financial institutions and those affected by wildfires to participate in the Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan program. Gordon said when Wyoming financial institutions register for the Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program, they can provide an important lifeline for small businesses in counties impacted by natural disasters.

The program permits loans to cover losses for various business expenses, including fences, livestock, and inventory. It offers a valuable solution for addressing unexpected costs associated with natural disasters, such as wildfires.
