Toys for Tots and Black Tooth Brewing Team Up for Holiday Giving

Mo Laya has been working with the Sheridan Region Toys for Tots program for 19 years. In that time, she has seen the campaign grow both in need and in community support.

Now serving as the Sheridan Regional Coordinator, Laya said this year marks two major milestones for the program.

The Sheridan chapter has received major donations from the Ramaco Foundation and access to purchase clearance toys from larger box stores. Laya said those acts of kindness have helped sustain the local program during difficult years and made it possible to extend service to Indigenous communities beyond Sheridan County.

Collection bins are set up across Sheridan to gather donations of new, unwrapped toys. As Black Tooth Brewing celebrates its 15th anniversary, the brewery is marking the milestone with an event focused on supporting local children through Toys for Tots. Owner and operator Tim Barnes said the celebration is about honoring what makes the holiday season special: community and generosity.

Barnes said the toy collection box will be available all day, but the celebration begins at 7 p.m. Nov. 28 at Black Tooth Brewing Company. Food trucks will be on site, and live music will be performed by Dakota Knezovich and Tris Munsick and The Innocents.

Laya said the Sheridan Region Toys for Tots campaign is currently accepting applications for toy assistance and is also seeking additional donations and volunteers. Learn more by clicking here
