Four Wyoming Legislators, Senator Bo Biteman and Representatives Marilyn Connolly, Barry Crago and Tom Kelly attended the legislative listening session on Tuesday, November 11, at Arvada- Clearmont School to listen to concerns from their constituents.
Superintendent Chase Christensen introduced the speakers, and Representative Barry Crago had this comment.
Many of those attending the event were teachers and staff from the school. The main issues discussed were school funding, and staff salaries.
Tom Kelly talked about recalibration.
Senator Bo Biteman added about the schools in Sheridan County.
Mayor Chris Schock attended the meeting, and talked about local control. He had this exchange with Representative Marilyn Connolly.
Clearmont teacher Jonathan Broersma was concerned about teacher salaries, and how hard it was to hire and retain teachers at the current levels.
The legislators also expressed their willingness to listen to concerns, and they said they enjoyed receiving emails from their constituents on the various topics they will be addressing in the upcoming session.
