President of the local 501c3, Story Days and Events Committee, Mark Caudle invited the public to a special German style Christmas Market, known as a Weihnachten (VY-nakh-ten) Market.
Members of the Story Women’s Club have hosted this event for two years. Now with the backing of the Story Days and Events Committee the community is hoping to make this event an annual tradition.
The Story Weihnachten Market will have vendors selling traditional German foods and beverages, arts and crafts vendors, music, Christmas carolers, children’s activities and a family-friendly festive atmosphere throughout the mountain town.
Caudle said music will be plentiful and a special guest will make an appearance at the Story Fire Station.

Vendors will open at 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, along North Piney Road in Story, centered at the Story Woman’s Club with additional activities at the Story Art Station and Grace Chapel.
Story’s volunteer firefighters will host smores for the kids and raise funds for the station by selling Christmas trees. Hay rides will be offered for a donation by Renny Barbula.
