News – Sheridan Media

Jentel has invited the community to meet its newest group of resident artists during Jentel Presents, scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, at the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library Inner Circle in Sheridan. Guests are encouraged to bring their lunch, and cookies will be provided. The event is free and open to the public.
Jentel Presents offers visiting visual artists and writers an opportunity to share their work with the Sheridan community before families gather for the holiday season.
This month’s presenters include:
• Composer Katy Jarzebowski, Forest Knolls, Calif. Jarzebowski composes for film and ballet and describes her work with the phrase, “Everything is music, and music is in everything.”
• Sculptor Molly Blumberg, Chicago, Ill. Blumberg is a gardener and women’s sports enthusiast whose early love for the band Talking Heads continues to shape her creative sensibilities.
• Nonfiction writer Jessica Gregg, Albuquerque, N.M. Gregg describes herself as “just a nice person, exactly as boring and as wonderful as that sounds.”
• Fiction writer Nicholas Otte, Port Washington, N.Y. Otte enjoys dogs, baking, and movies. He has a background in singing and says he is “whatever it takes to write.”
• Multidisciplinary artist Chris Parmelee, Laramie, Wyo. Parmelee has worked in a biophysics lab researching Alzheimer’s disease, plays drums for the band The Grieve, and aims to connect art, music, and science through his work.
• Painter Lucinda Shaiken, Philadelphia, Pa. When she is not painting, Shaiken sculpts gargoyles and uses a pasta machine and recycled plastic to create dry-point prints of rats.
Jentel will host the next Jentel Presents on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026.
