December 2, 2025

News – Sheridan Media

Sheridan County Conservation District has announced the December Rancher’s Night Out.

Beginning at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6 at The Barn in Big Horn, Rancher’s Night Out is a nonformal opportunity for the district to learn about the priorities of producers, landowners, conservationists, and others working in the agricultural industry.

According to District Manager Carrie Rogaczewski, these events offer local producers and farmers a chance to relax with friends while discussing matters that affect the agricultural industry throughout Sheridan County and beyond.

The theme for the Dec. 6 gathering is Clearing the Dust: A Practical Talk on Well-being. Topics will include long days, tough markets, drought, and the pressures of agricultural life.

Organized and sponsored by the Working Lands Collaborative, the event is free and open to the public but does require an RSVP to ensure enough food is available. A cash bar will be open and pizza will be provided by The Big Horn Mercantile. Attendees can scan the code on the event poster to RSVP or call the Sheridan County Conservation District at (307) 672-5820 ext. 3.
