Swishmas Showdown contest at the Y

Kids will be out for Christmas Break from school soon. Families will travel and others will host as Christmas comes and goes. With the cold weather kids will not be able to spend much time outdoors so the Sheridan County YMCA team has some activities that kids can jump into to remain active. 

Executive Director Liz Cassiday said Y Coach Sergio Trocha has devised a fun way to keep kids moving during the break while also having fun with friendly competition.

The Swishmas Showdown, a new basketball skills event has been developed at the YMCA to keep kids active and having fun during the Christmas break.

In modern times, technology is constantly working for kid’s time and attention. The Sheridan County YMCA develops events like the Swishmas Showdown to keep children active, healthy and having fun.
