Aside from the Holiday season, December is also Read a New Book Month and a couple of authors from Casper will be in Sheridan to promote some of their stories.

Gayle Irwin and Neva Bodin are scheduled to be at Sheridan Stationary (535 North Main Street) on Saturday, December 6th from 11am until 1pm, to autograph and sell their Christian and Christmas romance books.

Both are members of the Wyoming Writers Inc. organization.

Irwin writes in a variety of genres, including children’s books and Christian devotionals.

She is also a freelance writer for WREN and other print and online publications. She began writing sweet romance stories in 2019 and has published an eight-book series subtitled Yellowstone Country, with stories set in Montana and Wyoming around Yellowstone National Park.

A holiday book in that series, In the Shadow of Mount Moran, will be available at the bookstore on Saturday.

She will also have copies of Tails of the Heart, a second-chance, Christian Christmas romance set in the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming, and her new holiday romance titled Yuletide in Yellowstone, a second-chance, later-in-life story set at Mammoth Hot Spring Hotel in Yellowstone.

Many of her romance stories, which are contemporary works, weave pet rescue and adoption into the love story.

Bodin writes in a variety of genres, including children’s stories, Christian devotionals, and contemporary and historical novels, including Falling for the Doc, a cozy mystery romance, and Montana Free, about an orphaned teenager in 1800s Montana.

Her new novel, The Honeymoon Surprise, released last month.

All three books will be available at Sheridan Stationary on Saturday.

Bodin is also a poet and visual artist, and she freelances occasionally for Wyoming Rural Electric News (WREN) magazine.

She is a member of WyoPoets, the state-wide poet organization, as well as American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW) and Art on the Go, an artists’ organization in Casper.
