A Memorandum of Understanding between Sheridan County and the City of Sheridan regarding the subdivision of land within one mile of the contiguous corporate limits, dated April 27, 2022, outlines the responsibilities of the two jurisdictions in reviewing and taking action on development proposals within the Joint Planning Area. The MOU stipulates that City staff and the City Council shall have the opportunity to make comments and suggestions on development plans in the area.
Details of the Bucking Iron Business Park, a County subdivision located within the Joint Planning Area, were presented to the City Council during a study session Monday night. City Planner Kelly Schroeder said the proposal is to subdivide 20 acres into six industrial use lots at 170 East Ridge Road.
A resolution certifying that the governing body has reviewed the final plat of the proposed subdivision will be considered by the City Council at their regular business meeting Monday, December 15.
