Council to Consider Resolution to Apply for Grant for New Fire Engine

Details of a resolution authorizing the submission of a Federal Mineral Royalty Capital Construction Account Grant application in the amount of $710,000 for the purchase of a new fire engine for Sheridan Fire-Rescue were presented to the Sheridan City Council at Monday’s study session. City Fleet and Administrative Coordinator Heather Czaplinski.

Czaplinski said the City would be required to match 100 percent of the grant and that a quote for the new engine is approximately $1.3 million.  The City Council is expected to consider the resolution to apply for the MRG grant at their business meeting Monday, February 2.
