The Johnson County Historical Society (JCHS) will present a discussion titled, “The Geology and Dinosaurs of Johnson County” February 9 at the Johnson County Library in Buffalo.
According to a release from the JCHS, Thomas Hebert, Director of the Natural History Museum of Wyoming in Sheridan, has been digging dinosaurs for over 15 years, and will be giving the presentation.
Hebert has a Bachelor’s degree in geology, chemistry, and communications and is currently working on his Master’s in museum studies. He brings years of experience and education to the community and the museum.
His passion for paleontology and storytelling bring life to these extinct animals of Wyoming.
He will take the audience back in time 150 million years to the end of the dinosaurs and share his experiences digging, his favorite finds, opportunities in the Sheridan and Buffalo areas, and the future direction of the museum.
The presentation will be offered on Tuesday, February 9 at 6:30 p.m. in the Twing Room at the library.
