During a recent presentation to the Buffalo City Council on the upcoming Legislative Session, State Representative Marilyn Connolly (HD-40) discussed pending legislation that will affect local city and county governments.

She highlighted a pending bill concerning EMS services.

Others she touched on concerned the Public Records Act revision, which will affect county clerks in the state; a bill to give the ability to recall city elected officials; and a bill to make elections for city councils, county commissions, and others as non-partison.

She also said that legislators will be taking a close look at local distribution, which gives finding to city and county governments, to possibly make it a permanent thing as opposed to the current formula of needing to pass it every session.
