Johnson County Enacts Fire Restrictions

Johnson County fire officials have enacted fire restrictions for the county which will go into effect this weekend.

According to a release, Powder River Fire District Fire Chief Mark Haines and Johnson County Fire District#1 Fire Chief Colby Richins are requesting that the fire restrictions be implemented throughout Johnson County.

These restrictions are defined in Resolution 710, and we have provided a link below. 

Fire Restrictions will be implemented at midnight March 7, 2026.

‍Restrictions include open fires; fireworks; commercial and industrial operations; and grills, stoves, and smokers.

Restrictions will be enforced below an elevation of 7.000 feet.
