Spring Sing Along at A/C School

The annual Spring Sing-Along on Friday, March 13, presented by the Arvada-Clearmont Music department, at was attended by over 40 community members.

The 11-piece school band and choir performed nine musical numbers, including new songs like Love Story by Taylor Swift, and Wagon Wheel by Darius Rucker, as well as old favorites such as Love me Tender by Elvis Presley and Country Roads by John Denver.

The event started with an Alfredo dinner, with the live music following. Music teacher Kirsten Johnson had this to say about this year’s program.

Members of the band are Isaac Andreen, Braxtyn Camino, Nate Carvalho, Hank George, Jorgen Michelena and Callie Odegard.

Band member Jorge Michelena, who played electric guitar in the band and plays other instruments as well, commented on the support for music program.

The choir members are Trinity Carmichael, Lance Northup, Alex Schneck, Ella Stoll, Raimee Jordan and her sister, Miranda.

Johnson added about the music program and the upcoming music events.

The money raised at the concert will go toward covering expenses for an end of year concert trip, as well as music apparel for students next year.
