A motorcade from Dayton to Kane Funeral Home was in honor of Steve Jones, a Dayton firefighter for the last 11 years, Sheridan County School District 1 bus driver and a falconer, who died of cancer.
“Steve was one of the smartest people I ever met, but what made him truly special is that he knew—with absolute clarity—what was important in his life (and what he wouldn’t compromise on): family, friends, community, and one’s own passions, which for Steve was his falconry. He invested his time in energy in what mattered most. As a firefighter, school bus driver, falconer, and friend, he made a positive impact on so many people in the Tongue River Valley community,” Patrick Oharra.
Blacktooth Brewing in Sheridan is hosting a pint night with a 50/50 raffle April 24, a fundraiser dinner and auction in Dayton is May 1, and a Blacktooth Brewing bingo and 50/50 raffle is June 17.
