UW Partners to Help make Roads Safer in the Future

University of Wyoming Marketing and Communications and Public Relations Director Chad Baldwin was recently a guest on our talk show Public Pulse, and discussed a partnership between the university, Range, and the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) to make Wyoming roads safer in the future.

He describes what the collaborators will be doing to improvehighway safety.

Baldwin said they will be using cameras and an AI-based computer vision system to make sure this fiber optic system can work.

He added that this project is just another example of Wyoming’s university continuing to look at ways to help make life a little better and a little easier.
