WYO PLAY’s Ye Olde Bronc Players will present Shakespeare’s “The Comedy of Errors” at 7 p.m. April 9-10 in the Early Building Auditorium at Sheridan Junior High School (SJHS).
WYO PLAY reports 21 SJHS students will perform the Shakespearean comedy, which has been abridged and directed by Heather Bujans. In “The Comedy of Errors,” Shakespeare turns chaos into farce as two sets of long-lost twins accidentally swap lives, sparking wild mix-ups, ridiculous accusations and a tangled journey on the way to a happy reunion.
This production features performances by Barrett Haar, Riley Johnson, Ariana Jordan, Corbin Cooper, JJ Galbraith, Lucy Bujans, Vivian Neeriemer, Kimber Botkins, Sonja Wallace, EmmaLynn Elliott, Ottis Clem, Laura Grover, Felix Fritz, Oliver Patterson, Ollie Coon, Rebecca Trapp, Izzy Case, Flynn Arndt, Ally Forsythe, Anwyn Conn and Marley Cherry.
Ye Olde Bronc Players is a theater education program at SJHS, formed through a collaboration between Sheridan County School District 2 and WYO PLAY, an education initiative of the WYO Performing Arts & Education Center.
This year, Bujans is joined by Program Assistant Kali Smith. According to a WYO PLAY release, Smith has aided the production in numerous ways, including coaching students in small groups and one-on-one to help them develop their characters and improve acting techniques.
