Jo Co Commission Meeting on School Board Reduction Tuesday

The Johnson County Commission will be hosting a public meeting to discuss and gather public input on the possibility of the Johnson County School Board reducing its members from nine trustees down to seven.

The meeting will be Tuesday beginning at 5 p.m. in the commission chambers at the historic courthouse in Buffalo.

JCSD1 Superintendent Charles Auzqui discussed the meeting with the school board at their last meeting.

Auzqui said upon approval of the county commission, the proposal will then come before the State Board of Education at their meeting April 28 in Riverton for their consideration.
