In 2023, the Sheridan County Conservation District and the City of Sheridan partnered and received a grant to perform an assessment and develop an improvement plan for the Hume Draw area in Sheridan. City Parks Director Steve Gage said in 2024 the Hume Draw Watershed Assessment Project was completed. Gage recently provided the main objectives of the assessment to the Sheridan City Council and Mayor Rich Bridger.

Gage talked about the assessment recommendations for Hume Draw.

Gage addressed future funding for implementing the recommendations in the plan.
