While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Wyoming Game and Fish Department Aquatic Invasive Species Specialist Reed Moore cleared up some confusion regarding watercraft that require AIS inspection and watercraft that require an AIS decal from the department.

All watercraft, except paddleboards and nonmotorized inflatables under 10 feet in length, are required to display an aquatic invasive species decal.
AIS decals are available through any license-selling agent or on the Wyoming Game and Fish Department website. The cost is $5 for nonmotorized watercraft and $10 for motorized watercraft.
Regulation requires all watercraft to display an AIS decal while on the water in Wyoming. Watercraft entering Wyoming are also required to be inspected before launching in addition to the purchase of an AIS decal.
The Game and Fish urge visitors and residents alike to review Wyoming’s boating regulations before hitting the water.
