Sheridan County Commissioners Christi Haswell and Michael Arzy, along with County Coroner Dr. Robert Byrd, appeared on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to discuss the duties of the county coroner’s office.
The Sheridan County Coroner works jointly with all law enforcement agencies with jurisdiction over a death investigation. After a scene is secured and first responders assist anyone who requires aid, the coroner is called in to measure distances, examine and photograph remains. The coroner with jurisdiction then takes custody of the body.
