H.C. Benham is the new president of the Sheridan Commercial Club. He was elected last night at the club’s annual meeting.
The school house at Ulm, just east of Sheridan, was struck by lightning during the rain storm this afternoon. Fifteen pupils were in the school at the time. None were seriously injured, but Mabel Mason is reported to be suffering from nervous shock. School has been suspended until the building can be repaired.
Sheridan automobile drivers have been disregarding the curves in the drive which skirts the edge of the bluff in the city park. They have been cutting across the newly made lawn, causing a great deal of damage. City commissioner Foy said today that if the practice continues, every effort will be used to apprehend and prosecute the guilty persons.
