Joann Kay, Administrator with the Amie Holt Care Center at the Johnson County Healthcare Center in Buffalo, was asked during the recent hospital board meeting how things were looking at the care center.
She said things were “looking up,” and also praised new HR Manager Terri Ward.
In Kay’s written report to the board, she reported the census at the care center at 37 residents.
Seventeen are private pay patients and 18 are Medicaid patients with 2 Medicaid pending.
The average daily census for 2026 shows 39.94 in January, 38.43 in February, and 36.29 in March, with an uptick in residents during April.
