The fourth-annual Memorial Day Event was hosted by Kane Funeral Home Monday, May 25, 2026. The event held in beautiful weather saw several memorable events including retired Army Sgt. 1st Class Dana Bowman, a double amputee who was a Special Forces Soldier and a member of the U.S. Army’s elite Golden Knights parachute team, jump in with the American Flag, a Fort Phil Kearny cannon salute, a horse-drawn casket and the American Legion Post 7 Cavalry Drum and Bugle Corps performed two songs.
