Buffalo Police Chief Sean Bissett, in his recent report to the city council, detailed an incident concerning a young man that was eventually identified as a juvenile runaway from Colorado.
Bissett said the dispatch center received a call from a local resident that had been approached by the individual asking if he could do some yard work for money.
She said she had nothing for him to do, and the situation escalated.
Bissett said officers took the juvenile back into custody and found him a place to stay in Sheridan.
The BPD was able to contact his family and he was reunited with his father.
Bissett said this was a great outcome and a great job by the community for their help.
