Gilbert Knudson, the 8-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Knudson on Custer Street, narrowly escaped death about noon today.
Gilbert and a playmate were coasting down the sidewalk in a little wagon when they collided with an automobile at the corner of South Main and Burkitt streets. Gilbert was thrown under the auto, but suffered only bruises.
Richard & Pringle’s Famous Georgia Minstrels will appear at the Orpheum Theater tonight. This band of funsters have kept the whole world laughing for 30 years.
