The Sheridan-Johnson Counties Local Board of the Wyoming Community Foundation hosted an event at Sheridan Foster Parent Exchange Monday to hear from the various nonprofit organizations that received grants during the Foundation’s spring grant cycle. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has more.
Since 1989, the Wyoming Community Foundation has connected people who care with causes that matter to build a better Wyoming. Since inception, they’ve granted more than $120 million to charitable causes while also providing a variety of support to nonprofit agencies. The Sheridan-Johnson Counties Local Board of the Wyoming Community Foundation recently awarded a total of $86,500 in grants to 15 different nonprofit organizations in Sheridan and Johnson Counties through the Foundation’s spring grant cycle.
WYCF Associate Director of Donor Stewardship Salvador Madrigal says they have two competitive grant cycles where nonprofit agencies can apply for funding, one in the spring and one in the fall.
Madrigal said the deadline for nonprofits to apply for the fall grant cycle is September 15. Grant application information is available here.
