Buffalo’s City Council has passed, on first reading, an Ordinance amending the Transient Merchants and Religious or Charitable Permits section of city code.
The Council chose earlier this year to look at the permit fee schedules for itenerant vendors operating within the city limits, at the request of vendors who said the fees were too high.
Council Vice-chair Myra Camino explained her proposal for the new permit fee structure.
She said the public was being asked to review the proposed changes and make suggestions during upcoming second and third readings of the amended Ordinance.
Copies of the proposed amended Ordinance are available by request at City Hall.
The second reading will be made during the council’s July 21 meeting.
