Rezone Request Approved on First Reading

Morrison-Maierle, on behalf of property owner Ranch at Twin Buttes, LLC, has submitted a rezone application to the City of  Sheridan for 3.44 acres of property at 940 Covey Run Road in Sheridan. City Planner Kelly Schroeder said the applicant is requesting a rezone from B-1 Business District to a Planned Unit Development to allow for commercial canopy storage on the property.

Following a public hearing on the rezone request, the City Council approved an ordinance on first reading to rezone the property from B-1 to a PUD. The Council also approved a resolution for the First Avenue East Subdivision, which divides one acre into two residential use lots with lot one being 32,324 square feet, and lot two 11,212 square feet in size.
