Sheridan County Passes 2026-27 Budget on Split Vote

Sheridan County’s Commissioners considered their 2026-27 Budget during their meeting Tuesday.

During discussion, Commissioner Mike Arzy said he would not be voting in favor of the budget and explained why.

Chairman Christi Haswell explained they would not be taking funds out of their Reserve Account but from thei Cash Account to balance the budget.

Commissioner Holly Jennings thanked those involved for their hard work in compiling the budget, but said she would also be voting against.

Commissioner Nick Siddle explained why he would be voting for the budget.

The commission then voted to approve the 2026-27 Budget on a 3-2 vote, with Commissioners Arzy and Jennnings voting no.
