Sheridan County Clerk Eda Schunk Thompson has released the outcome of public testing of voting equipment that was performed on F4iday, July 17, saying the voting machines are ready for the Primary Election in August.

In a release, Thompson said they had finished testing of voting equipment just before 4 pm on Friday, July 17.

Every election machine tested accurately and is now sealed and ready for the Primary Election.

She said they ran three separate tests.

In each test just over 3,100 ballots were tested.

The first test was on the DS450, used on election day for Absentee Ballots that are mailed or dropped off.

The second test was on the DS200’s used on Election Day at precinct Polling Locations.

The third test were additional DS200’s programmed for the entire county to be used in the Early Voting Room starting on July 21 and the remaining to be used as spares if needed.
