Sheridan Commission OK’s Amendment to Transfer Unencumbered Funds

During their regular meeting this week, Sheridan County’s Commissioners considered a Resolution for Budget Amendment #4, to Transfer Unencumbered or Unexpended Funds and Departmental Budget balances for Fiscal Year 2025-26.

County Clerk/Budget Officer Eda Schunk-Thompson explained the need.

According to the Resolution, General Fund Revenues increased by roughly $2,2 million; Capital Facilities Tax Revenues increased by about $195,000; and the County Road Fund increased by just over $53,000.

The General Fund Expenditures increased by about $302,000.

The Commission voted to approve the Resolution.
