Woodchuck Road 226 is Temporarily Closed

To improve fisheries habitat and repair damage from erosion, bridge and culvert work is occurring on Woodchuck Forest System Road 226 in the Bighorn National Forest. According to information from the Forest Service, a section of the road at Willett Creek is closed due to heavy equipment and the removal of the bridge and culvert and motorists will not be able to get through.

The closure is posted with signs near Willett Creek at milepost 6.8 and 8. The road is open on both ends up to the closure. The Forest Service asks that if you plan to be in the area, please slow down and watch for heavy equipment and respect the closure and make alternative travel plans. More information on the closure can be obtained by contacting the Bighorn National Forest Service Office in Sheridan.
