Owing to lack of funds, Sheridan County commissioners voted against making an appropriation this year to the Sheridan Commercial Club for publicity work.
Commissioners said they were in favor of the general proposition and suggested that the club present the request on the first of January when the budget is being prepared.
Sheridan high school commencement exercises were held last night at the Orpheum theater. Speaker for the occasion was Dr. F.M. Fling, head of the ancient history department of the University of Nebraska. He spoke for an hour and a half on the significance of the great war currently being fought in Europe.
“The Railroad Raiders of ’62,” a sensational railroad picture in Hazards of Helen, is showing at the Grand theater in Sheridan today.
