The WYO Theater’s 37th Season will open with Rosanne Cash and John Leventhal for an intimate evening of songwriting, storytelling and musicianship.
The daughter of country music legend Johnny Cash, Rosanne Cash has distinguished herself as one of America’s most eminent singer-songwriters and built a remarkable career spanning more than four decades. Her 15 albums have earned four Grammy Awards and produced ten No. 1 country hits, including “Seven Year Ache,” “Blue Moon with Heartache” and “I Don’t Know Why You Don’t Want Me.” A member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Austin City Limits Hall of Fame, Cash is celebrated for songs that blend country, folk, rock and Americana with deeply personal, literary storytelling.
Joining her is husband and longtime creative partner, John Leventhal, himself a six-time Grammy-winning guitarist, songwriter and producer whose influence can be heard throughout American roots music.
WYO Performing Arts and Education Center Executive Director Erin Butler said Cash is both a legacy artist and wholly unique through her work.

Together, Cash and Leventhal have created some of the most celebrated music of her career, including “The River & the Thread,” which earned three Grammy Awards. Their decades-long partnership brings a rare warmth and ease to the stage as they revisit beloved songs, share the stories behind the music and explore the traditions that have shaped their lives and work.
Guests may also join the WYO for a ticketed Season Kickoff Reception prior to the performance, beginning at 5:45 p.m. in the Mars Black Box.
The reception will feature heavy hors d’oeuvres, complimentary beer and wine, and an opportunity to connect before the 7 p.m. performance.
