According to the Sheridan CTG, the guild was established in 1956 by a group of local thespians. In 1980, the architecture firm Malone Belton Able, helped the CTG renovate Kendrick Mansion’s carriage house at the Trail End State Historic Site. Since that time, community players have staged several productions in the Carriage House Theater each season.
Recently the CTG announced their lineup for their 71st season which will feature War of the Worlds: The 1938 Radio Script
Adapted from the H.G. Wells and novel by Howard Koch, will be directed by Pollyanna Averett in Sept. 2026.
In December of this year, The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society’s Production of A Christmas Carol, by David McGillivary and Walter Zerlin will be directed by Jami Lance.
In the spring of 2027, Bus Stop by William Inge will be directed by Aaron Odom and John Goodell in March.
Dan Cole will direct Barefoot in the Park by Neil Simon in May of 2027.
