Fire totally destroyed the immense building of the Sheridan Commercial company on Broadway today.

Property loss is estimated between $25,000 and $40,000. The fire originated in the implement room from an unknown source at about 10 o’clock. The building was a wooden structure covered with sheet metal, and within half an hour, the interior was a roaring furnace despite five streams of water being directed on the blaze. The property of the Denio Milling company, which was across a narrow street, took fire, but the mill was saved through heroic efforts of the firefighters.

The new herring bone stripe rugs are at Foley’s. The store is opposite City Hall in Sheridan.
