Planner Gives Information from Latest Land Use Plan

Johnson County Planner Jim Waller, during a recent county commission meeting, discussed some information that is part of the update to the Draft Comprehensive Land Use Plan.

He gave some statistics concerning the county.

Waller said the county is still seeing a strong housing “boom,” with upwards of 30 new houses being built this year.

The Johnson County Planning & Zoning Commission will host an open house public meeting on the update to the Draft Comprehensive Land Use Plan (tonight) Thursday, August 27 at the Bomber Mountain Civic Center Band Room in Buffalo beginning at 5 p.m.

The public can view the draft document and give comment and feedback during the open house.
