Singer-songwriter Chancey Williams will headline the University of Wyoming’s Cowboy Kickoff Concert Friday, September 11, as part of Kickoff Week, building excitement for the new semester and the Cowboys’ home-opening football game the following day against Northern Colorado. UW Marketing and Communications Director Chad Baldwin says the free concert, open to students, faculty, staff and the public, marks the return of the Cowboy Kickoff Concert for the first time since 2018.
Baldwin said the celebration will culminate with a 3D drone show at approximately 9 pm, projecting animated images in the night sky that will be visible across much of the UW campus. The concert venue will be gated, but admission is free, and no registration is required. A shuttle service will operate throughout the evening.
