Sheridan College Presents Free Artist Talk Sept. 10

Artist Eliza Weber’s work has been on display in the Edward A. Whitney Gallery since May 7. According to Sheridan College, she uses a diverse range of media to explore interconnectedness and materiality. Utilizing ceramic, paper, found-object and fiber creations, examine how objects, individuals and others occupy space.

Weber will speak during a closing reception at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10 in Kinnison Hall at the Whitney Center for the Arts.

“It has been so nice to have Eliza’s work on display all summer. We are happy that our students will have an opportunity to experience it and hear her speak,” Sheridan College Visual and Performing Arts Chair Brittney Denham said. “It’s the perfect way to kick off the year by introducing students to a working artist and educator who is eager to share her passion.”
