R.W. Kelly, president of the Holly Sugar company, arrived in Sheridan today. He will be here for several days.
Contractor J.U. Stout will begin driving piling tomorrow for the bridge across Little Goose for the Sheridan Street railway to the sugar factory.
A temperature of 31 was recorded at the local weather station last night. Ice froze to a thickness of an eighth of an inch, and considerable frost was reported. Some of the gardens in town were badly damaged.
Construction of a nine-room house on Residence Hill started this morning. The house is by James Birchby, and will be completed by Sept. 1. Contractor is J.P. Windle.
