A Look Back in Time: June 12, 1915

June 12, 2015

Now here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on June 12, 1915.

One of the most eminent zoologists in America has arrived in Sheridan. Dr. Edmund Beecher Wilson, who is a professor at Columbia university, is on his way to the H F Bar ranch. He is accompanied by his wife and daughter.

O. R. Bassett and Bob Doyle, both of Parkman, are in Sheridan attending to business matters today.

Mrs. Frank M. Ward has been arrested and jailed on a charge of bigamy after apparently becoming impatient with divorce proceedings. She married Oscar Taylor two or three years ago, and filed for divorce several months ago while he is incarcerated in the penitentiary in Rawlins. The divorce is pending, but she married Mr. Ward on March 4 in ceremonies before a minister. Both of her marriages occurred in Sheridan.
