The Johnson County School Board, at their meeting Monday night, approved a budget amendment for Fiscal Year 2025-26.
According to the amendment paperwork in the Agenda, the FY2025-26 year-end closing process, in preparation of the final trial balance for audit, was reviewed by the Business Office for actual expenditures by fund and function against the adopted budget. The General Fund appropriation of $27.3 million is unchanged and requires no amendment.
The function-level schedule adjusts appropriations so the final budget reflects FY2026 activity.
Special Revenue decreases by $3,000; BOCHES increases by $3,000; Student Activities had no change; and the Johnson County Recreation Board appropriation, which was omitted from the final FY2026 budget, is $500,000.
The increase is $500,000 attributable entirely to the Jo Co Rec Board.
The School Board voted to accept the budget amendment.
