The WYO Performing Arts and Education Center’s 2026 Fall Premiere production of “Anything Goes” opens Oct. 24 in downtown Sheridan, featuring local performers and a tribute to longtime local director and performer Marva Craft.
Zach Allen plays Billy Crocker and Heather Heath plays Hope Harcourt. Costumes, set decorating and props were done by Jeannie Hall and her team. They appeared on Sheridan Media’s Fridays with Floyd to talk about bringing the musical together as they prepare to set sail at the WYO.
Allen has a process of finding his character, in this case Billy, while rehearsing with fellow actors. Allen gets to know his characters as he portrays them in rehearsals.

Heath said she finds her characters through a combination. She considers Hope’s upbringing and background, then rehearses scenes to determine if the character needs more refining.

The story takes place in the 1930s. Hall and her team looked through photos of clothes and studied styles from the era as well as ships that would have transported travelers across the Atlantic. The WYO’s extensive costuming department was able to save Hall and her team time without compromising detail.
