Now here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on June 24, 1915.
The Yankee Robinson three-ring circus is coming to Sheridan. An advance agent of the big show is in Sheridan today. He says the Robinson Circus, which will be here on July 9, is somewhat larger than the Sells-Floto shows which have visited here several times.
C.S. Jones, a former switchman for the Burlington railroad in Sheridan, is asking for $20,000 for the loss of a leg while he was performing his duties as switchman here almost four years ago. The case is being tried in district court here.
Work has started on a concrete-and-brick smokestack, 250 feet in height, for the new sugar beet factory here. The exterior of reinforced concrete is being built in eight-foot sections, one section a day.
