Now here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on July 2, 1915.
Sheridan City Commissioner Foy, who is superintendent of the water department, has proposed a bond issue to pay for enlarging the water main from the intake into the city reservoirs. He says the reservoir capacity is ample, but the city’s water supply problems are because the main feeding into the reservoirs is too small.
Mrs. William Leitner, who lives on Coffeen Avenue, has been ill for several days. But she is now convalescing and is able to be out.
A surprise party was given yesterday to Miss Alice Sturdevant. The event, which was at the home of Mrs. Cadle in Sheridan, was occasioned by Miss Sturdevant’s plans to leave soon for Prairie Dog ranch, where she will spend the summer.
